Band Heaters

These rugged heaters are designed for plastics processing machinery. They are made from stainless steel which makes them resistant to molten plastic, oil etc. They have a smooth contact area without voids which gives them excellent thermal exchange. The flexible leads are resistant to being pulled off. We can also supply a leaf thermocouple which can be positioned between the barrel and heater for simple measurement and control of the application.

  • Connection cable: Fibreglass/PTFE insulation with stainless steel braiding over the positive and negative leads
  • Cable length: 1 metre
  • Supply voltage: Variable, but loadings shown below are based on 220V supply
  • Dielectric strength: 2000V

Warning: For safety reasons band heaters must be bonded to earth.
